Decentralized Umoja Bounty Hacks
Algorand Foundation launched the series of hackathons tagged Decentralized Umoja Algorand Bounty Hack. In line with the foundation's commitment to foster blockchain education on the African continent, Algorand Foundation organized this agile and fast paced program for African web developers to get into blockchain development.

Developer Ecosystem and Community Growth
Algorand Foundation's efforts led to the empowerment of over 500 Nigerian software developers through comprehensive training via online and in-person bootcamps. Nigerian developers made a significant impact in the Build-A-Bull Global Hackathon, securing top positions across multiple tracks.

The Algorand Regional Hackathon in Nigeria gathered developers to build solutions in Decentralized Identity, Financial Inclusion, and Supply Chain. With strong participation and innovative projects, the event concluded with a finale in Taraba State, showcasing impactful blockchain solutions for real-world challenges.

Benjamin Onuoha
Country Manager, Nigeria
Ben is the Country Head for Algorand Foundation in Nigeria where he's developing and implementing the foundation's strategy in country and the broader African region which involves developing and managing strong relationships with the country's tech ecosystem, public and private sectors to advance blockchain adoption in Nigeria and the broader African region. Ben is the co-founder of the Africa Blockchain Alliance, an organization focused on blockchain education, policy advocacy, partnerships and building blockchain communities across Africa. He previously worked at Consensys as the Community Lead for Africa where he was responsible for building a Pan-African footprint for Consensys and Ethereum. Ben has been a consultant and advisor to multiple blockchain projects in Africa and globally. His areas of interest are emerging technology, youth leadership and entrepreneurship ecosystems development. Ben is further interested in how new and emerging technologies such as blockchain can create a more inclusive, diverse and fair society.

Community Champion, Nigeria
Anjorin Eyitayo, a Blockchain Solution Architect with 7 years of Web3 experience, is a Community Champion for the Algorand Foundation. Passionate about exploring blockchain applications beyond cryptocurrency, he drives innovation in decentralized solutions.

Timothy Ogwulumba
Technical Champion, Nigeria
A seasoned blockchain developer with a track record of building and deploying impactful projects on the Algorand blockchain, many of which are live on mainnet. With a deep understanding of smart contracts and decentralized systems, he focuses on creating scalable solutions while empowering developers through education and community initiatives.
